Environment: As governor, supported cap-and-trade policies and signed the Western Climate Initiative.

Taxes: Flatten the tax code.

Abortion: Says he would support a right-to-life amendment, wants to ban second trimester abortions.

Gay Marriage: Has supported civil unions, wants to leave it up to the states.

Social Security: Indirectly supported the Ryan Plan to reform Social Security.

Energy Policy: Seeks to end “addiction” to imported oil through renewable energy initiatives and development of domestic fossil fuels.
